Training Division

The Training Division of the Judicial Department is located at the ground floor of the right wing of the Government Buildings in Suva, Fiji.

The objective of the Division is to analyze, plan, design and deliver training programs to educate, up-skill and empower court support staff to reach their full potential for the purpose of providing a professional, timely, efficient and effective support service to Judicial Officers and the Courts’ clientele in line with the Department’s vision and mission.

We have qualified in-house trainers who conduct Adhoc Training in the following areas:
  • Induction
  • Court Etiquette
  • Court Skills and Interpretation
  • Supreme Court, High Court, Magistrate’s Court and Small Claim Tribunal Procedures
  • Sherriff Officers Workshop
  • Family Court Workshop
  • Admin and Finance Workshop
  • Drivers Workshop
  • Messengers

Those trainers have been accredited after attending Training of Trainers Module 1 & 2 Courses conducted by the National Training & Productivity Centre [FNU]. It is a worthy investment whereby the Department is getting return on investments in terms of upskilling and capacity building on the court support staff.
